I stopped stitching in 2017, when we moved from one state to another and everything went awry, it affected me deeply to my core.  I spent from the time of that move until 3.5 years later grieving the losses, which were many sentimental things, all the furniture that I loved, and the majority of my crafting supplies.  Then I tried everything else I could to get myself out of it by ways of crafting things other than cross stitch.  I tried junk journaling, papercrafts, ATC cards, decoupage, stamping, die cutting, but nothing felt right.  Nothing gave me that peace that I had in Sac.  I was desperately trying to find peace in my life again.  Home life was extremely stressful and those crafts became unbearable, there was no joy doing them, they didnt feel like "me", and they were frustrating beyond belief so I decided to stop in 2021. I have been slowing purging items from those crafts getting rid of them.

Since I had decided to stop doing th eother crafts, I flodered with things to do for the better part of a year and a half.  I was scrolling through Fb and i follow quite a few cross stitching groups and the spark within me ignited again so I  decided to give cross stitching a try again and picked it back up in late February 2023.  I have completed 17 projects since then.  I am still enjoying it immensely, and have planned to finish previously started projects as I can.  
I have also been passing on items I will not use.

I do have great ambitions to complete enough ornaments to fill my tree this year as well as completing as many WIPS as possible.  This is the only crafts I wil be doing besides some embroidery, and a Kawandi Style quilt.
