A LOT of red and a new start

So I've gone and done it again... *GASP*...
A new start... I know... I know... With so many already started, why a new one???
Well, I finished the swirling phases of the moon, and when i picked stitching back up, I promised my self that if i finished a large piece, I could start another..
This one however isn't all that huge.  It's about 9 x 10 I think and I never never EVER do full stitches..
I am just simply too old and too impatient for those.
When I was buying charts way back when I was over ambitios and though I can do all these..
UHMMM... no yI can't.. I am A SLOW STITCHER compared to most..
So the 3 large HEAD type pieces I had started back near 2016 or so, I cut them apart to use the leftover fabric in ornament pieces and the stitched sections will go into a slow stitched fiber and fabric journal I want to do later in the year.
I will also be addressing the joy attached to each started piece and make decisions on which to actually still work on, and which to pass on.  My tastes have changed and I only want to work on what I would like to spend the time on.  I have already sold off about 6 started pieces.  Others can enjoy them.

This piece is a cute little mini SAL from www.pinkernpunkin.blogspot.com
Spring Stamp SAL - It was published on her blog in April 2023
She has an Autumn one as well that I hope to do.  I thought it would be pretty to finish them as wall hanger with a rough branch for the hanger and some coordinating quilting cotton for a border and maybe a bit of hand quilting.. That though process is still in the works
And I don't know how this woman has so much energy to do all the things she does.
She literally stitched this SAL and accompanying pieces all in less than a month, i think....plus all the other things she gets done????  The patterns she offers to us as the public, and for free,, kudos!,..

I must thank her to no end.. as of today I have stitched 6 of her patterns, this one will be the 7th.
And there are more in the lineup of "to do"

Man I run out of spoons when I do simple chores, but then I have chronic illness, so I have less energy than many others..

So anyway I have chosen to make thread changes.  This border is stitched in DMC 115.
It took almost a full skein becasue on 14 ct fabrics I always use 3 threads for better coverage.
The word Spring will be in either a blue or green, or maybe a yellow, undecided still.
I will change out several of the other colors to DMC variegated threads.
The fabric is 14 ct aida coffee dyed by me. Hard to capture colors in some fabrics with my phone.

I did all this yesterday, took many hours, but i finished right before bedtime.

Until next time..

Happy Stitching!!!
